Synopsis
Pathology, obstetrics, radiology—in a hospital with 18 specialty departments comes a 19th new specialty: the field of “seeing the patient as a whole.” This is General Medicine. Takino, a third-year female doctor who yearns for the kind of doctor seen in stories who can “cure anything,” struggles with the gap between her ideals and reality within a medical system that values doctors specializing and excelling in highly fragmented fields.
